SHADER – The Time Is Right

“TIME IS RIGHT is about rising up from self-destruction, or out of isolation, it’s dedicated to the underdog in society. It’s about the point where a someone decides to pull themselves together and fight against the thoughts in their mind”.

POST ROME – Want to Believe

When asked specifically about the meaning behind the track, drummer and lyricist Jamie Martin explained “lyrically this song tackles quite a few personal issues whilst focussing on the main theme of feeling uncomfortable or overly comfortable in relationships.” He goes on to discuss the creation of the track and how the band set out to create a chorus that sits somewhere between tribal and gospel, using an African floor tom pattern and stacking over ten different vocals takes on top of each other.

SUNFLOWER THIEVES – Hide and Seek

After sixteen years of friendship, Leeds-based pop-folk band Sunflower Thieves are a strong soulful sisterhood nurturing a unique sound, through ethereal vocal harmonies and honest lyrics to soothe the mind. Each track is hugely personal to the songwriters, hence the intimate atmosphere and sincere performance you experience in watching them.

RECLAIM VIENNA – Modern Times

The track is the fruit of re-mote writing and demo sessions during lockdown, as preparation for further releases later. To the surprise of the band, not to mention 42’s Records, producer Ben Booker managed to get the song into stunning shape quickly and the band wanted to release it right away, so being a small indie label, we were able to jump on it as soon as we received it on bank holiday Monday, and here it is!

LATENIGHT HONEYMOON – For Heaven’s Sake

Latenight Honeymoon launch new single For Heaven’s Sake. Their second release ‘For Heaven’s Sake’ comes loaded with hope and positivity, in a time where social distancing restrictions have brought our lives to a standstill.

ALEX OHM – Hours

The brilliant new one from Midlands based Alex Ohm; Hours is a timely track with lyrics very remnant of the times we are living in. Due to be on his upcoming EP, this is a taste of what’s to come from Alex and his band.
