SAUCE RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘SISTER BROTHER’, PLUS LYRIC VIDEO, OUT NOW
THE MANCHESTER FOUR PIECE WILL PLAY THEIR LARGEST HEADLINE SHOW TO DATE AT YES BASEMENT ON SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER
“It does seem that Sauce have discovered, and are relishing, their identity with a heavier and more distinctive sound.”
Manchester rockers Sauce are taking things back to basics by writing powerful, honest, uplifting rock songs that look to unite and not divide. In lead singer Dean Molyneux they have arguably the finest rock vocalist in the country, and it’s around his talents that the band have honed their sound. As per any Sauce release, ‘Sister Brother’ lays the riffs on thick, with a wall of noise making way for Dean Molyneux’s sky scraping volcas, sat on top of a fat, fuzzy bassline that has become standard practise in the band’s songs.
Despite hacking away at the tune’s running time to bring it in at under three and a half minutes, Sauce have still managed to squeeze in a mandatory tempo change, and of course, a face-melting guitar solo. ‘Sister Brother’ is the sound of a band who have grown up, and have clearly spent hours honing their craft in the rehearsal room.
Produced and engineered by in-demand producer Alex Greaves (Avalanche Party, Honey Moon, Bloc Party) at The Nave in Leeds, as well as Jake Evans in Macclesfield – the band have combined two past producers to deliver one succinct recording.
Sauce are; Dean Molyneux (vocals), Henry Lewis (guitar), George Stead (drums), Lewis Rushton (Bass)
“There is nobody doing rock n roll, like SAUCE are doing rock n roll in 2019. Sister Brother is proof of that. We can’t wait to take this out on the road and show people that stadium rock tunes aren’t just a thing of the past. We’re proud of this one, and the world needs to hear it. Maybe then everyone would stop arsing about and do what we were put here for – loving one another.”
“Sister Brother is an ode to the forgotten world of real music. It’s a polite reminder to choose love and a gentle ‘fuck you’ to those who don’t.”
