Wombats Live Show: First Direct Arena – 26th January – SOLD OUT

The Wombats are about to embark on their highest profile and biggest UK headline tour to date. Six huge shows across the isles, including a night at Leeds’ First Direct Arena this Saturday, will see the 2019 tour further cement the band’s meteoric rise to one of the country’s biggest guitar acts.

After a sold-out UK & European tour in 2018, including London’s Alexandra Palace, “doubters take note, these Marsupials are officially massive”, confirmed the NME, The Wombats have gone on to lay waste to crowds across the globe, including Reading & Leeds Festival, the 50th anniversary Isle Of Wight Festival, Y Not?, Glasgow Summer Series (supporting Kings Of Leon), extensive dates through North America in support to Weezer and The Pixies, and huge headline arena dates in Australia.

Joining The Wombats in Leeds will be The Night Cafe and Blaenavon who will be looking to make this huge arena opportunity count. In 2018, The Wombats released Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life. Peaking at #3 in the UK album chart as the highest new entry of that week, the album has since been streamed over 80 million times on Spotify, with glowing album reviews from The Times, Evening Standard, Metro, Sunday Times Culture, Daily Telegraph, DORK and more.

With no signs of slowing down, 2018 was a phenomenal, groundbreaking year for The Wombats and they are about to kick off 2019, right where they left off!
