Single review: RedFaces
For fans of: Catfish and the Bottlemen; The Wombats;
RedFaces are getting Halfway 2 Nowhere extremely excited for the future of indie.
Their latest single ‘Take it or Leave It” combines an edgy vocal with a mega catchy beat and synth to match. With lyrics that scream a message to a generation ‘Take it or Leave It’ is a certain hit for the Sheffield boys.
It’s hard not to notice the mild Oasis styling of the vocal, sure to get young listeners “hyped” across the nation. With their two previous singles ‘Kerosene’ and ‘Wise Up’ both being released from 2016 through to this year, RedFaces have gifted us with three incredible singles in a short space of time. It’s clearly notable however, that their musical style has quickly developed and how the lyrics have become more mature.
I can not wait to see what they release next (no pressure boys!). Take It Or Leave It is a huge personal favourite of mine right now, to the point where it’s all I’ve sung since hearing it. I envisage a beautiful rendition of it coming to a festival near you very soon (watch out for these boys playing Reading and Leeds main stages in the near future).
With catchy tunes and the boys themselves having larger than life personalities, expect big things coming from them in 2018. If you get the chance shuffle on down to one of their gigs as they are currently touring! Well worth a listen.
